Professional Depigmenting Treatment (Cosmelan)

Cosmelan is a professional depigmenting treatment designed to assist in reducing the appearance of dark spots and uneven skin tone associated with excess melanin production.

Skin hyperpigmentation can occur due to increased melanin production and may present as uneven skin tone or localised darkened areas. Individual responses to treatment vary.

How the Treatment Works

The in-clinic session involves application of the Cosmelan 1 mask, which remains on the skin for 8–12 hours depending on skin type and practitioner assessment. The mask is removed at home as directed.

Approximately 48 hours later, the home-care phase begins. This includes the use of Cosmelan 2 cream, moisturising products, and broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen as instructed by your practitioner.

The duration of the home-care program varies depending on individual skin response and will be discussed during consultation.

What to Expect

Some redness, peeling, dryness or sensitivity may occur during the treatment process. These effects are generally temporary.

Results develop gradually and vary between individuals. Ongoing sun protection is essential.
