Laser for Redness, Acne and Pigmentation

Laser treatments can be used on areas of the skin affected by redness, pigmentation, or acne. Suitability is assessed during a skin consultation with one of our qualified skin experts.

Fotona Laser Treatments

At Luminosity Skin and skinMD, we use Fotona Laser devices, which employ precise light technology that is selectively absorbed by structures in the skin such as melanin, water, and hemoglobin. The clinic offers a variety of laser wavelengths, which can be used on different areas of the skin depending on individual needs:

Redness: Lasers can target visible blood vessels and broken capillaries, sometimes used in the management of conditions such as rosacea.
Pigmentation: Lasers may be used to support the management of pigmentation changes, melasma, and sunspots.
Acne: Lasers can assist in reducing bacteria and excess oil on the skin, which may support skin clarity and comfort.
Scarring: Laser may be used to assist in the treatment of some types of scarring by targeting affected skin layers.
