Skin Cancer Prevention - Skin Checks Geelong

Posted on September 13 2019

Is it time for a Skin Check?

Our comprehensive service hosted by our very own Dr Kath Reynolds Specialist GP (BMedSci,MBBS, FRACGP, MPH & Trop, Med) includes complete skin checks, monitoring and treatment of any spots or moles requiring further attention.

No referral is required from your GP.

A standard skin check takes approximately 15-25 minutes, depending on the number and complexity of spots requiring assessment for each patient.

Time, patience and understanding are required during any thorough, complete skin check. We aim to ensure that our patients feel comfortable during the whole examination process and will leave with the peace of mind that they have the “all clear” with no suspicious spots having been detected, or that a lesion has been detected requiring appropriate and further attention.

Treatment of skin cancers or the development of pre cancerous skin lesions can range from topical application of product used at home to help eleviate the cells, cryotherapy to remove the cells or if required excision and biopsy.
